Founded in 1897 as the Priscilla Club by Mrs. C.F. Curtiss and Mrs. G.L. McKay. Originally comprised thirteen faculty wives meeting Wednesday afternoons at each others homes to sew and socialize. Name changed to Faculty Women's Club of Iowa State College in 1916. Many divisions reflect the diverse interests within the organization.
